Encore group 2023-2024 with Santa at the J.W. Marriott Staff Holiday Party
Encore is a song and dance troupe of energetic young performers who are students at Do Re Mi School of the Arts in Scottsdale, Arizona. Do Re Mi was founded in 1984 as a school to teach young people self-confidence through musical performance and the arts. Since then, Do Re Mi has evolved into a robust program with multiple show choir and musical theatre groups. For 41 years, Do Re Mi has been positively impacting young people by providing a safe and secure environment for them to develop creativity and self-reliance, while working as part of a support team.
Encore, under the direction of Lindsey and Michael Calvoni, is comprised of 35 high schoolers ages 14 through 18. Performing throughout the valley and the United States, Encore offers a variety of shows and is currently in production with their seasonal performance, Christmas Time is Here. This up-beat 25-minute revue features wonderful holiday favorites like Christmas Time is Here, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Silver Bells, Merry Christmas Darling, Deck the Halls, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas, and a whole lot more! You will love how this group will put you, your guests, employees or patrons into the holiday spirit.
Encore boasts many notable performances including Children’s Action Alliance Benefit, The Phoenix Thunderbirds, The Phoenix Art Museum, Scottsdale Culinary Festival, D.C. Ranch Country Club, Westin Kierland Resort, private parties, healthcare centers and many shopping plazas throughout the valley. In years past, our teens have performed at Talking Stick Resort Arena for an appreciative audience of 12,000 spectators, and at other large venues throughout the United States.
Fee:
$350 per performance.
This fee is a fund raising activity for the troupe’s spring tour each year. In Spring 2025, the troupe will be touring to Boston, bringing their talent and energy to schools and sites throughout the city! We appreciate your efforts to support talented youth. These young people are eager to bring their brand of good, clean, all American fun and entertainment to you and your audience. We know that Encore’s performance will add delight to your holiday season.
Technical and Space Requirements:
15’ x 20’ foot (minimum) space. Indoor or outdoors. Hard, relatively smooth surface required for dancing.
One electrical outlet within 50'. Encore provides speakers, microphones and electrical equipment. You don’t have to do a thing!
